Diy Full Size Loft Bed

Materials:

8 - 2x4s (8 feet long)
6 - 2x6s (8 feet long)
4 - 2x8s (8 feet long)
1 - 4x4 (8 feet long)
1/2 inch plywood (4 feet x 8 feet)
Wood screws
Nails
Mattress
Box spring (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Build the Frame

Cut the 2x4s into the following lengths:

4 - 72 inches
4 - 42 inches

Assemble the frame using wood screws. The 72-inch 2x4s will form the long sides of the frame, and the 42-inch 2x4s will form the short sides.

Step 2: Build the Platform

Cut the 2x6s into the following lengths:

4 - 72 inches
2 - 42 inches

Assemble the platform using wood screws. The 72-inch 2x6s will form the long sides of the platform, and the 42-inch 2x6s will form the short sides.

Step 3: Attach the Platform to the Frame

Place the platform on top of the frame and secure it using wood screws. Make sure that the platform is level.

Step 4: Build the Ladder

Cut the 2x4s into the following lengths:

2 - 72 inches
6 - 12 inches

Assemble the ladder using wood screws. The 72-inch 2x4s will form the sides of the ladder, and the 12-inch 2x4s will form the rungs.

Step 5: Attach the Ladder to the Frame

Place the ladder on one end of the frame and secure it using wood screws. Make sure that the ladder is sturdy.

Step 6: Add the Side Rails

Cut the 2x8s into the following lengths:

2 - 74 inches
2 - 44 inches

Attach the side rails to the frame using wood screws. The 74-inch 2x8s will form the long sides of the side rails, and the 44-inch 2x8s will form the short sides.
