Full Size Loft Bed Blueprints

A full-size loft bed is a great way to save space in a small bedroom. It can also be a fun and creative way to add extra sleeping space to a guest room or playroom. Building your own loft bed is a relatively easy project that can be completed in a weekend. Here are some full-size loft bed blueprints to help you get started.

Materials

2x4 lumber (for the frame)
3/4-inch plywood (for the platform)
1x4 lumber (for the ladder)
Wood screws
Wood glue
Drill
Saw
Measuring tape
Level

Instructions

1. Cut the 2x4 lumber to the following lengths:
- 4 pieces at 72 inches (for the legs)
- 2 pieces at 54 inches (for the side rails)
- 2 pieces at 36 inches (for the end rails)
2. Assemble the frame by attaching the side rails to the legs with wood screws. Then, attach the end rails to the side rails.
3. Cut the 3/4-inch plywood to the following size: 54 inches x 72 inches.
4. Place the plywood on top of the frame and secure it with wood screws.
5. Cut the 1x4 lumber to the following lengths:
- 2 pieces at 72 inches (for the ladder sides)
- 10 pieces at 12 inches (for the ladder rungs)
6. Assemble the ladder by attaching the ladder sides to the ladder rungs with wood screws.
7. Attach the ladder to the loft bed frame.

Finishing

Once the loft bed is assembled, you can finish it to your liking. You can paint it, stain it, or leave it natural. You can also add curtains or other decorative touches.
