Materials:

* 4x4 lumber for the legs and frame (8 pieces) * 2x6 lumber for the side rails (4 pieces) * 2x4 lumber for the cross beams (2 pieces) * 1x12 lumber for the platform (1 piece) * 1-inch plywood for the mattress support (1 piece) * 1-inch wood screws * 2-inch wood screws * Drill * Saw * Sander * Measuring tape * Level

Step 1: Cut the Lumber

* Cut the 4x4 lumber into eight 6-foot pieces for the legs. * Cut the 2x6 lumber into four 6-foot pieces for the side rails. * Cut the 2x4 lumber into two 6-foot pieces for the cross beams. * Cut the 1x12 lumber into a 6x8-foot rectangle for the platform.
