Queen Size Floating Bed Frame Plans

Materials

1 sheet of 3/4-inch plywood (4 feet x 8 feet)

16 3-inch wood screws

Instructions

1. Cut the plywood. The first step is to cut the plywood to size. You will need one piece of plywood that is 60 inches wide and 84 inches long. This will be the top of the bed frame.

2. Assemble the frame. Next, you will need to assemble the frame. Cut the 2x4s to the following lengths:

4 pieces: 84 inches long
4 pieces: 60 inches long
4 pieces: 24 inches long

Use wood glue and screws to attach the 2x4s together to form the frame.

3. Attach the top to the frame. Once the frame is assembled, you will need to attach the top to the frame. Use wood glue and screws to attach the plywood top to the frame.

4. Install the legs. Cut the 4x4s to the following lengths:

4 pieces: 12 inches long

Attach the 4x4s to the corners of the bed frame using wood glue and screws. Make sure that the legs are flush with the bottom of the frame.

5. Sand and finish. Once the bed frame is assembled, you will need to sand it smooth. You can then paint or stain the bed frame to match your bedroom décor.
